The BERUFSVERBAND DEUTSCHER HUMANGENETIKER e.V. (BVDH), the professional organisation of German human geneticists) is a platform that provides the opportunity for professionals in human genetics to engage in discussions with colleagues, and to actively participate in shaping the general structures and occupational conditions of the profession.
One of greater goals and tasks of BVDH is to provide quality assurance in human genetic diagnostics.
In order to achieve this goal, BVDH offers its members and other providers of human genetic services to participate in ring trials, which can be accessed at www.bvdh-ringversuche.de.
There are separate ring trials for cytogenetic and molecular diagnostics. These are conducted according to the guidelines of the Bundesärztekammer (Federal medical association, RiliBÄK Part B5) and the Berufsverband Deutscher Humangenetiker e.V. (Professional organisation of German human geneticists) S2-Guidelines for Human Genetic Diagnostics.
Announcements and final reports will be published online and you can register for ring trials on our website.
The BVDH e. V. is institution of reference of the German Medical Association according to the “Richtlinie der Bundesärztekammer zur Qualitätssicherung laboratoriumsmedizinischer Untersuchungen“ (guideline of the German Medical Association for the quality assurance of medical laboratory examinations) for cytogenetical analyses.
On behalf of the board of directors, I wish you a fruitful participation.
Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Jürgen Kunz
Vice President BVDH e.V.
